Spring of Life

So I finally managed to obtain 12 Scrolls of the Waters of Life Lost Art. This allows you to build 1 Spring of Life in your castle (You also need at least 1 Farm upgraded to level 10).

Each upgrade of the Spring of Life increases your food production by 5% (to a maximum of 25%). The first upgrade is relatively expensive at 8,500 Gold, 11,400 Iron and 24,500 Food. Food is not really that valuable of a resource in my opinion, so I'm not even going to upgrade it at this time.

Where I'm Currently At: So I am currently building up my army to find the minimum Offensive power you need to Raid each level battleground with 0 losses. I am at about 20k and I can now build Knights,  but I think I need to get to about 50k Offense before I start.

  1. Do you mean by Offense power the number of units, or where can it be seen?

Thank you for doing this blog

  2. Hey no problem. Yeah I mean the sum of total offense of all my offensive units.

  3. Do you count the additional levels from the Lost Arts? For example: would you count a level 11 Knight as 240 Offense, or 288 Offense (240+20%)? Also, I think you will always suffer some loses. The lowest battleground I can raid at the moment is level 11, and my offense is around 120k (including levels from the Lost Arts) and I still suffer loses from these raids.

  4. good strategizing!!!... ive mainly built a solid offense on my little brothers account so he could back me up when needed and I basically built a heavy defense, and handle resources more than splurging on troops... in this game you NEED friends. come into the local chat =)

    1. You can just take the cost of the upgrade (say 2000 gold + 2000 iron....I always have too much food so I just ignore that) and divide by the benefit you get (+20 iron p/h) = 400/2 = 200
That means you need 200 hours to break even with the investment
That's 8.3 days or just over a week
The benefit of upgrades falls off pretty quickly. Now I just use them to throw my resources at before logging off to keep resources low

  8. question: per Attack/resource ratio, is pikeman the best choice to boost attack number? I think as long as you have plenty of food to feed them, they are more cost effective than any other higher level units,,, right?
